The Rogue Achievement Ability tree is used by Swashbucklers and Brigands to spend their achievement points.
Common Builds
Perhaps the most common build for a Rogue right now is the Wisdom Strength Line: This typically goes: Strength - 4/4/4/8 Wisdom - 4/4/4/8 - this leaves 9 points which are either spent in Coule, Traumatic Swipe or to bump up Freehand Reversal and Strength or Agility. This line is an attempt to maximize DPS by maximizing Double Attack and Critical hits.
Another typical build is Str - 4/4/4/5/8 and Int - 4/4/4/4/8. The point of this build is to try maximize dps through lots of different attacks and to reduce hate through the INT line. Feign death is obviously a popular choice due to the diversity of the skills use.
Next line is the Tank Swashbuckler line: STA - 4/8/8/8/8 & STR 4/4/5. This maximizes the health, AE Taunt, adds Hold the Line for tanking Taunt and adds a bunch to Defense.
Pick Pocket
Attempts to steal coin from a human target
- At level 20 rogues get Pick pockets, while it's not an overly powerful ability it has some fun to it. Both in PVP and PVE there are many times the foe's back is exposed and if your 30 second reuse timer is up take his cash. Go ahead no one will notice. The best thing about this ability is it can be used out of fight when your just running by a mob and it's up use it. The worst thing about this ability is you can only steal from a Humanoid type mob. In the 20's it's approx 30 copper in the 30's it's been upwards of 90 copper, in the 60's it's around 3-5 silver. Beware of stealing from a higher level mob if they catch you, your walking the plank.
Blackguard (Strength) Branch
Blackguard's Strength
Increases the Blackguard's strength of 4 by each rank
Torporus Strike
A melee sword attack that reduces the targets chances of any critical damage or heals.
Blackguard's Defense
Increases the Blackguard's defense skill
Blackguard's Luck
Increases the Blackguard's chances at critical melee damage
Traumatic Swipe
A positional melee attack that greatly increases the recast time of all abilities of the enemy struck by this attack.
Pirate (Agility) Branch
Pirate's Agility
Increases the Pirate's agility by 5 for each rank.
Walk the Plank
A melee rapier attack that causes the enemy struck by this attack to spin, exposing their back to the Pirate for a short duration.
Commandeer
Increases the Pirate's in-combat and out of combat movement speed.
Avast Ye
Grants the Pirate chances at additional melee attacks while attacking from the flank or behind any opponent. "Never let your eyes stray from the pirate"
Sailwind
The Pirate's recovery and casting times are increased in speed, allowing them to use their abilities in succession faster then before.
Mercenary (Stamina) Branch
A useful branch for those who yearn to tank (you know who you are).
Mercenary's Stamina
Increases the Mercenary stamina by 6 each rank.
Swear
Increases the hate of all enemies in an encounter toward the Mercenary. A round shield must be equipped to use this ability.
Conditioning
Increase the Mercenary maximum health.
Opportunistic Cover
While a round shield is equipped, the Mercenary gains increased auto-attack damage.
Formation
While the Mercenary is in their defensive stance they gain increased health, physical resistance, shield block percentage, and increased hate with the enemies that strike the mercenary.
Fencer (Wisdom) Branch
Fencer's Wisdom
Increases the Fencer's wisdom by 8 for each rank.
Lunge Reversal
The next time the Fencer or an enemy attacking the fencer uses a defensive maneuver to avoid an attack, the Fencer returns with a melee attack. You cannot have any offhand weapon or shield equipped to use this ability.
Freehand Reversal
While the Fencer fights with offhand empty, they gain an increase to their base chances to double attack, and increase rank also increases their chance to riposte incoming melee attacks.
Unencumberence
Then fencer gains chance to strike twice while auto-attacking, as long as the Fencer's off hand remains free.
Coule
The Fencer Combat skills are exceptional - Increases slash, pierce, ranged, parry, and defense.
Thief (Intelligence) Branch
Thief's Intelligence
Increases the Thief's intelligence by 7 for each rank
Boot Dagger
A positional melee dagger attack places the Thief into stealth if it strikes.
Thief's Prowess
Increases the Thief chances at reducing hate by enemies that are causing harm to Thief
Evasiveness
The Thief accrues less hate with enemies in combat allowing them to get away with dealing greater amounts of damage with out bringing attention to their selves
Feign
Allows the Thief to trick enemies into thinking that Thief is dead, while avoiding any area effect that does not directly target Thief. Note: 30 second duration and 3 Minute recast.
