Raws
The raw materials for tradeskills that can be harvested from the relevant nodes.
Reactive Heals
A spell that causes a player to heal when they are damaged. These heals are the speciality of the Templar class.
Rez
Resurrect
The act of bringing a player back to life after death.
RTFM
Read The Flipping Manual
This is a response that a player may receive when asking a question whose answer could be found by reading the manual. Examples include asking which NPC grants tradeskill professions. Note that the third word is not usually as polite as that provided above.
Shout
This is a method of communicating in character to all players in zone. Players wishing to communicate out of character should not use this command.
Slash Command
In EQ2 commands enetered in a chat window are proceeded with a slash ('/') so that the game knows they are not attempts at communication. The in game help provides a partial list of available commands, a more complete list is available on the official forums [1]

The publisher of Everquest 2, often referred to simply as Sony.
SoW
Spirit of the Wolf
A spell that grants the target enhanced movement.
SP
Status Points
Status Points are awarded for completing writs, HQ, or selling Status Loot. Anyone can accumulate Status Points, but it can only be used if you are a member of a guild. Certain items can only be purchased with status points and some housing requires the expenditure of status.
Spawn
When a MOB is slain it will, after an interval, appear again. The act of returning to the game is known as spawning. Some MOBs have very long spawn intervals or will only spawn after certain actions have been undertaken, such as killing other creatures.
Tier
A group of levels; Tier 1 is 1-9, Tier 2 is 10-19, etc. It is sometimes written as T1 etc. Most commonly used to discuss harvestable nodes and raws; eg the T3 root is Belladonna root.
Toon
One of a player’s characters, eg “My main toon is a 42nd level high-elf Templar”
Tourist XP
Tourist XP is experience awarded to a character when they first visit certain locations.
