Lore: Erudites come from the isle of Odus. Long ago, Erud, one of the greatest human mages and his sect boarded a boat to leave the materialistic city of Qeynos to go further their powers in the feild of the Arcane. They landed on the Isle of Odus, which was the home of the Kerra. Erud and his followers soon took over the island, banishing the native Kerra to a small portion of the island, separating themselves from the cat-men. There the Erudites lived in peace, until a sect of Mages, calling themselves Necromancers began to summon the undead, claiming that they had conquered the grave. This frightened the common Erudite, and the Necromancers were branded evil and banished from the city. This sparked a war of unfathomable proportions. In the end, a collision of magic from the opposing factions blew a massive hole in Odus. Both sides, realizing what the war would come to, called a truce. The evil Erudites settled in Paineel, a city build around The Hole. Across Toxxulia Forest, the good Erudites lived in peace an harmony. Both studied hard in their fields, and for that dedication to the Arcane, the Erudites are seen as the formost source of the Magic Art in Norrath.
Description: Tall and thin. Their skin is usually dark. Their innate connection to the Arcane has caused runes to appear on their skin. These runes match their eyes in color, ranging from green to red. Erudites have unusually high foreheads, and are bald. They are extremely intelligent, and prefer to be left to their intellectual studies and meditation rather then be bothered by the problems of "common folk". This causes them to be arrogant and maybe even promiscuous, but do not be turned off by their manner, for they can be very powerful and loyal friends.
