Enchanted Lands

The Enchanted Lands is an island formed from what used to be the area around Rivervale and the Misty Thicket; it is still home to some halflings; however, many of them have been corrupted by an invasion of evil demons, known as the Enchanted Reapers.

Geography

The Enchanted Lands can be reached by ship from the Nektulos Forest.

Sites of Interest

Some areas of interest include:

  • The Seamist Coast is the coastline of the island.
  • The Lost Village of Bobick is the small fishing village at the docks on the southern coast.
    • The Great Guard is the wall that is all that separates the foothold of civilization near the docks from the wild and corrupted portions of the island.
    • Flowing through the southern part of the island, the Lazy Drain is a stream that eventually becomes the waterway around Rivervale.
    • Following the wall from the western end, the Granary Hill holds the grain mill.
    • Further to the northeast, a monument called the Runnyeye Ward.
    • South of the ward is the Midwater Bridge spanning the drain.
    • Continuing along the wall, one finds The Hole, a break in the Great Guard.
    • East of the hole, Misty Ridge becomes a part of the Great Guard. The hills north of the drain are considered part of the ridge as well.
    • The River Watch is the bridge to Rivervale.
    • Rivervale is the ruined city of the halflings. It is now separated from the rest of the Enchanted Lands by a portion of the Lazy Drain.
    • At the eastern end of the Seamist Coast is the reconstructed Ultaran Spire which leads to the Dragon Isles in the Overrealm.
    • Furthest east on the southern coast is Fae Island, home to the Seamist Fairie.
  • The Seamist Plains is a region on the west coast.
    • West of the Great Guard along the southern coast is Shortwine Burrow, an old village of earth berm houses.
    • West of Shortwine Burrow and south of the lazy drain is Berrybrook Field.
    • Near the Great Guard and just north of the lazy drain is Lookout Stump
    • At the eastern edge of the plains ia Goblin Pass, which leads south of Bog Mountain towards Runnyeye.
  • Bog Mountain is in the northwest of the island.
    • Runnyeye is a huge mine within Bog Mountain and the home of the Runnyeye Goblins.
    • The Foul Stench is a waterway leading from the entrance to Runnyeye down toward the Misty Ridge.
    • Bramblefoot Hills extend southeast from Bog Mountain, east of the Foul Stench.
  • Misty Grove is the northeastern area of the island.
    • Tanglefoot Farms is found along the Lazy Drain near the eastern shore.
    • The Heart of the Forest is the only remaining Elddar tree in the Enchanted Lands; it is northwest of Tanglefoot farm.
    • Three Pine Isle is off the east coast.
    • Camp Ghobber is a fortified camp on the north shore.

Population

The Enchanted Lands is home to many creatures, some of whom are sentient. These include:

  • The Guardians of the Vale are those halflings who have come back to reclaim their homeland. The can be found in and around the docks and patrolling that area protected by the wall.
