EULA
End User License Agreement
The EULA is the set of terms and conditions that players are required to accept before playing the game. They are presented to the player when they launch the game. Clicking on Accept is taken to be agreement with the terms.
Evac
An ability shared by some scout and some mage classes that quickly transfers the caster or the entire group to a place of safety.
Gank
Gank is the act of ganging up and killing a player in a PvP environment. There is an implication that the ganging up gives the attackers an unfair advantage. The term is an abbreviation of GANg Kill.
Group
Between 2 and 6 players working together. A group of two is usually called a duo. Ideally a group should be balanced by having a diverse set of classes.
Hallmark Quest
A quest which has to be completed in order to drive the general storyline forward. At specific stages in the game, Hallmark quests become available and are required to be completed in order to advance your character. An early hallmark quest is the Citizenship quest for either Qeynos or Freeport. Until you complete those quests the maximum level your character can achieve is 6. Additional Hallmark quests will occur at adventure and tradeskill levels 9 and 19.
Heroic
MOBS that con as heroic are designed to be killed by a group. Quests will be listed in a player's journal if some or all of the quest will require a group. Heroic mobs can be modified by up ^ and down v arrows. The more ^ the stronger the MOB, the more v the weaker the MOB. Typically ^^^ are alone, ^^ are in pairs, ^ are in trios and normal heroics are in quads.
HO
Heroic Opportunity
These are special attacks that will open up in your interface, when a class-specific ability is used. This opens up the HO window, which allows players (or groups) to take advantage of special attacks by comlpeting the required skills as displayed in the HO window. The HO starters are: Scout - Lucky Break; Fighter - Fighting Chance; Mage - Arcane Augur; Priest - Divine Providence.
HQ
Heritage Quest
Heritage Quests are a class of quest that tend to be more involved than normal quests. They will include at least some steps that require a group or raid. On completion they usually grant a valuable item and a large number of status points. Completion of several Heritage Quests grants the right to certain titles once they have reported their achievement to the relevant NPC. For instance after completing five Heritage Quests the character gets the title Treasure Hunter.
