From EQ2-Daily.com EQ2 Wiki

The Kingdom of Sky expansion has introduced an Achievement Abilities System to reward you for exploring new territory and defeating new challenges. You get skill points that allow you to claim Abilities from an achievement tree specific to your class.

Achievement Points

Achievement experience can be gained starting at level 20. Achievement is gained from levelling, exploring, certain quests, item discoveries, certain boss kills, and for any experience gained when your level is capped.

Achievement experience goes towards earning achievement points. Only 50 achievement points can be gained. You can see your current achievement point total in the Skills Window.

Achievement Trees

Each class has an achievement ability tree containing 26 abilities that may be earned by spending achievement points. The tree is based on an "entry" achievement abiltiy, which costs one point. After that there are five branches or paths, each with five abilities; each branch corresponds to one of your base statistics (strength, agility, stamina, intellegence, and wisdom). Improving each of the first four abilities in a branch costs one point, and each ability can be improved eight times. Advancing to the next ability requires four points in the previous abitliy. The final ability in each branch costs eight points for its single rank.

You can choose to specialize in one branch for 1 + 40 points and have 9 points with which to dabble or you can spread the points around as you desire. For instance, with 1 + 24 + 24 points you can get fill out two branches.

Point Reallocation

If you decide you do not like the way you have allocated your achievement points, you may reallocate (aka. "respec") your points; this unassigns all your points and allows you to spend them again. The respec gets progressively more expensive with each use (first 1sp, second 13sp, third 1.30gp, fourth 13gp, fifth 1.30pp, sixth and subsequent 13pp) and can be bought from:

  • Wynia Vethe <Achievement Counsel> in the mage tower in South Qeynos
  • Nexa L'Dur <Achievement Counsel> in the Academy of Arcane Science in North Freeport
